Series Of Trades Lands Oilers Kochan
We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Josh Kochan from the Barrhead Bombers ahead of this week's CAJHL roster freeze. The 2004 born forward currently ranked fourth in CAJHL scoring with 32 goals and 61 points in 27 games played for the Bombers.
Several trades this week helped the Oilers acquire Josh. First, the Oilers traded forward Jayvon Fogelgren to the Vegreville Vipers in exchange for Forwards Blake Thomas and Talon Bear, and Defenders Jacob Tourand and Tristen Caron. Caron and Bear were then sent to Barrhead, along with the rights to forward Logan Gill in order to complete the trade for Oliver Lovely. The Oilers were also able to acquire the rights to Riley Smith in the transaction.
Next, the Oilers traded newly acquired players Tourand and Thomas, along with Shawn Paiement, Oliver Lovely and future considerations to Barrhead for Kochan, landing the Albany, OR native and one of the league's top prospects in preparation for a run to the CAJHL's Champions Cup playoffs.
We look forward to Josh's arrival in Vernal and hope to have him in the lineup the 18th of February for an exhibition vs. the University of Northern Colorado. We would also like to thank Jayvon, Shawn and Oliver for their contributions to the Oilers this season and wish them all the best moving forward.
