Oilers Fall To Aeros in CAJHL Final

The Vernal Oilers returned home from Cold Lake, Alberta as CAJHL runner ups in our inaugural season of play after dropping the CAJHL championship to the host Cold Lake Aeros by a score of 6-1.

After finishing the regular season with a 23-16-2 record, good for 3rd place overall, the Oilers began the Champions Cup playoffs with round robin games against Cold Lake (5-6 Loss) and Barrhead (6-2 Win) before taking on Hinton in the semi-final (5-4 OTW).

The Oilers played a close game against Cold Lake early on, but fatigue eventually conceded the Champions Cup to Cold Lake by a score of 6-1.
